Mehbooba Mufti meets fire victims in Baramulla.

“Condemns attack in Sopore. Dialogue only solution for lasting peace”

Srinagar, June 12th:People’s Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti today visited Noor Bagh Baramulla to meet with the victims of the recent inferno that engulfed tens of homes.
Former Chief Minister took detailed briefing from locals about the extent of damage, relief measures underway and the rehabilitation plans formulated to provide succour to the devastated families.
Mehbooba also impressed upon the local authorities to immediately initiate appropriate and dignified relief/ rehabilitation measures and chalk out a detailed decongestion plan for the residential areas to prevent and mitigate such tragic accidents in future.
On the occasion Mehbooba lauded the role of local youth and population of Noor Bagh and Baramulla town for their daredevil and good Samaritan act of helping and rescuing the victims.
Party President was accompanied by Chief Spokesperson Syed Suhail Bukhari, State Secretary Advocate Khurshid Iqbal, Coordinator Gh Rasool Mir, District president Peer Jalal u din shah, DDC members of Baramulla and Narvaw, and office bearers of Zone committee Baramulla.
Speaking on the sidelines to the media she condemned the Sopore attack in which at least 5 people were killed and several others injured.
Expressing solidarity and sympathies Mehbooba prayed for their eternal peace and said such senseless violence has consumed generations of kashmiris.
” Guns can’t resolve any issue and only dialogue can bring peace in Jammu and Kashmir, “
